Slowly the Cabinet is starting to look like a dollshouse...My yellow room is almost ready!

#Chinese mood

Look what i've found on the antique market? It's made of meerschaum and it used to be a lady

pin!I think it's going to look just perfect on a frame above the fireplace!

#Blue Bedroom

This one is almost ready, i think!
The bed was one of the first furniture pieces I've bought, along with a peg doll that I call Francisca!
I wanted a classical, cosy room and the bed with the wallpaper gives that warm sensation! Again the cornice and fireplace from Sue Cook.

#Drawing Room

The cabinet drawing room, is in this blue wallpaper that i've bought to Susan Bembridge. The cornice and fireplace is from Sue Cook, they are really nice, I'm impressed with the quality. Also there's no electric sistem, aldo I think it's wonderfuul to see dollshouses with lights, in this case I choose not to ad electric chandeliers or scones.I've got ones with candles that might also give a special look to the rooms!

The chandelier it's just to have an idea how the room looks wih one!The chest was made by me, I saw a chinoiserie one at a antique shoop and decided to make one, i'm happy with the final result, 2 days painting..The bust is Mozart, it was from my grandfather, the picture and the ivory vases i bought on a antique market in Lisboa.

#Kitchen

I decided to use real stone floor for my kitchen, it's esay compaired to the wood one, it's like a puzzle! My idea for the kitchen was based on this fist picture, the stairs were the start element, they give some life to the kitchen!

#Start (again)

How can i explain this? I forgot my email and password of the previous blog? Yes, that exacly what happen!Smart boy!
Start again, but this time I wrote down on a papper! Cross fingers this time!
I've bought a George IV Cabinet at a auction some time ago and i decided that i should make a dollshouse from it (i was dreaming that it would be easy!!!)! Since i can remenber toys were always present, my father is a big collector, he spends hours (even days) building and buying toys, kits and ready built ones, so i think that's were it come from!
In Portugal is rare to find dollshouses, my grandmother had one, but we decided to give the house to her sister, since she was the only girl on the family, someday i´ll ask to take some photos! Now is my time to build one, i didn't think is was going to be so dificult and so fun at the same time. It's the first time i do something like this and the most dificult part is....the Cabinet wood is really...hummm...like stone (rosewood), sometimes is really dificult to have a clean surface, next time MDF (card board)!
At this moment i have some rooms
almost ready, like the kitchen, drawing rooms, and bedrooms, I'm saving the dinning room for last!
I'll post some photos so you can have an idea!
